OUAGADOUGOU – Egypt’s Ambassador to Burkina Faso Mohamed el-Ghazawy said on Sunday all necessary preparations were taken to guarantee safety and comfort of Egypt’s national football team from their arrival until departure.
Speaking in a phone interview with the “Good Morning Egypt” programme on Sunday, the diplomat said coordination was made with the Ministries of Defense and Interior in Burkina Faso to provide both static and mobile security for the team upon their arrival, scheduled for 7 p.m. today.
He said Arab ambassadors in Ouagadougou were invited to attend the match between Egypt and Burkina Faso on Tuesday. The match is part of the African qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
