Free Recycled Water Available Again in Los Angeles

The Los Angeles-Glendale Water Reclamation Plant is once again offering free recycled water through its fill station—now open through the end of the year, according to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP).

💧 Why It Matters

Recycled water is a sustainable solution for outdoor use during drought conditions. It’s treated and disinfected wastewater that can safely replace drinking water for lawns and gardens—helping to conserve valuable resources.

🚗 How to Participate

Only LADWP customers are eligible. Here’s how to get started:

  • Bring a recent LADWP utility bill
  • Present a government-issued ID
  • Complete a brief one-time training onsite
  • Use your own sealed containers (up to 300 gallons per visit)

Need help choosing the right containers? LADWP offers helpful suggestions.
