Cowboys Aim to Even Series in Matchup vs. Oregon

Cowboys vs Oregon series history

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State and Oregon meet for only the second time ever and the first time since 2008 on Saturday afternoon.

The first meeting between the programs took place at the Pacific Life Holiday Bowl in San Diego, Calif., on December 31, 2008, with Oregon winning 42-31.

Biletnikoff Award finalist and consensus first team All-American Dez Bryant set then-Holiday Bowl records with 13 catches for 167 yards, including a 33-yard touchdown grab that gave the Pokes a 10-0 lead in the first quarter. Bryant’s 13 catches set a new career high.

Quarterback Zac Robinson finished with 329 yards and a touchdown on 27-for-50 passing and added 54 yards and a score on the ground.

Saturday’s matchup at Oregon will also mark the fifth time OSU has played in the Pacific Northwest in the Mike Gundy era, with the Cowboys boasting a 4-1 record in those games, highlighted by a 52-36 win at Oregon State in 2019.

Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. CT at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Ore., and the contest will be televised on CBS and carried on the Cowboy Radio Network.
