E. Northport resident strikes scratch-off gold, wins $1M jackpot

Francis Cangemi of East Northport has hit it big, claiming a $1 million top prize on New York Lottery’s $1,000,000 Gold scratch-off game.

Cangemi opted to take his winnings as a one-time lump sum, receiving $670,000 after required withholdings, lottery officials announced on Monday.

The lucky ticket was purchased at Half Off Cards of Selden, located at 49 College Plaza, between Shoprire and Duck Donuts. As of now, three $1 million prizes remain on the $1,000,000 Gold ticket.

The store has hyped the big win on its TikTok account.
