As the 20 th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina approaches a brand spanking new documentary filled with archive photos and reflection goals to show the resilience of the folks in New Orleans along with the techniques they’d been failed.
New Orleans took the brunt of the 2005 storm which swept in from the Gulf of Mexico and killed more than 1,800 other people, overwhelming the levees intended to prevent flooding throughout the low-lying the city.
‘’This in reality was once as soon as a failure of the structures and the institutions that are supposed to keep other people secure and protected,’’ discussed director Traci A. Curry, who spent a 365 days and a component making 5 segment assortment ‘’Hurricane Katrina: Race Towards Time.’’
