Steelers 2026
One of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ newest and most exciting offensive duos may have another year left in the tank — and it all comes down to Aaron Rodgers potentially delaying his retirement to play with DK Metcalf one more season.
On last week’s episode of Not Just Football with Cam Heyward, the special guest appearances of Rodgers and Metcalf alone overshadowed a huge tease from the pair of Steelers — a potential return in 2026.

“I think we’re gonna do some special things this year. Looking forward to it,” Metcalf said, as he smiled at Rodgers. “And you know, maybe we can run it back.”
“Maybe,” Rodgers responded with a grin.
Previously on The Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers all but confirmed his upcoming retirement following the 2025 season — but if Metcalf can talk Rodgers into giving it just one more year, Pittsburgh’s Super Bowl window may open a bit wider, as would rookie QB Will Howard’s development process.
