Taking a look at Western Carolina’s Defense

Yesterday, we took a look at the offense for Western Carolina, and that means today is the defense’s day to go under the microscope. The Catamounts are coming off well… I mean there’s no good way to give up 52 points. On their second play from scrimmage defensively, the defense completely busted a run fit and Gardner-Webb broke off a 65 yard touchdown run. On the other side off the coin, they found their way into two sacks and two takeaways?

The hallmark of this defense is chaos and confusion. They want their best against yours in the backend because they trust being able to throw exotic blitzes at you to not be able to win one-on-one matchups. Each level plays a pretty important part in this one, duh it’s football Cam, but let’s see what job each one of these groups has!
